“I have had my son in Mr. Jason's "Beat School" for over a year now. I have to say that it’s one of the most innovative and beneficial programs that I’ve seen. Not only are the students able to learn how to compose, produce, and record their own music, but they are in the most enriching environment where they can express themselves as individuals.

There are musicians that come in to perform on all types of instruments, from guitars, to drums, and piano. This gives the students the opportunity to hear how "cool" an instrument can be if they have never heard it before in real life. They also have the opportunity to learn very helpful skills in the audio and visual world. Not only do the kids get to listen to their peers and give positive feedback, but they even get to showcase their creativity in a supportive environment. Some even perform in school ceremonies.

As a self taught multi instrumentalist and DJ, I wish that I had such an outlet when I was that age. Mr Jason is allowing these kids to learn and explore music in an exciting and fun environment, which will in time yield some extraordinarily creative and well balanced thinkers! Thank you Mr. J”
